This 57-story tower was designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, featuring the first LED façade by prominent lighting artists Ana Martinez. Residents of the 450 luxury condominiums featuring private elevators can also enjoy the ground floor restaurant with celebrated chef Katsuya Uechi and cocktail lounge by SBar. The building also features 12 penthouse residences on the top three floors which include 12 foot ceilings, custom gourmet kitchens and panoramic skyline views of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
The interiors were designed by Yabu Pushelberg who utilized museum-quality art in all common areas. Renowned artisits such as Fernando Botero and Matias Duville are featured in the building, among others. There is also an exterior art mural created by Fabian Burgos.
Most (90%) concrete used between 40 and 50% slag cement with the exception of some post-tensioned work. The various high-performance columns were at a 50% slag dosage with design strengths between 7,000 and 12,000 psi. In the case of the columns, slag was instrumental to achieve 12,000 psi.
The project was completed on time with no quality issues reported. Slag allowed for high strength concrete in columns while using local available materials in Miami.
