Located in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA, Excellerate Manufacturing required a new space to expand their electrical manufacturing innovations designed to cut energy costs. The new space featured a 7 in. (178 mm) floor slab comprised of a 4500 psi (31 MPa) concrete mixture with a slag cement content at a 30% cement replacement level. The huge floor area required 9200 yd3 (7030 m3) of concrete and took 3 weeks to place. The second phase of the project comprised the placement of a 7-in. thick exterior pavement.
