The Slag Cement Association is an organization of companies that produce and ship slag cement in the United States; these shipments represent over 95% of all slag cement used in U.S. concrete. The association reports that over the last several years, the volume of slag cement produced and shipped within the US has remained fairly flat. However, several SCA members announced expanded production in the middle of 2023 and others have indicated plans for new projects that will expand production in 2024.
